  Dynamic hierarchy in protein folding  
  Proteins do not express their biological functions until they are folded properly into their native states.While it is well known that the native conformation of a protein is determined by its primary sequence, the pathway(s) by which the polypeptide follows during its collapse toward the equilibrium state has remained poorly understood.
 
 
Crystal Engineering: Toward Intersecting Channels from a Neutral Network with a bcu-Type Topology
 
 
In rare form: Although the structure of body-centered cubic (bcu) net is commonly found in textbooks, its eight-connecting topology is extremely rare in metal-organic frameworks owing to severe geometric requirements. The first example of a highly porous, neutral bcu-type framework (see picture) assembled from a unique eight-connected tricopper cluster and a 5-(4-pyridyl)tetrazolate ligand as a linker is reported.

  加速臨床血液診斷的『奈米質譜檢測技術』
  完成人類基因解碼後,基因與疾病間的關聯性已可加速瞭解。很多疾病已可由基因產物(即蛋白質)的變化測試到,尤其透過血液蛋白質的分析,對疾病的診斷可提供正確且重要的資訊。由於大部分和疾病有關的標記蛋白質在血液的含量往往很低。因此,建立快速且靈敏的檢驗技術應用於疾病的早期診斷及治療,乃當務之急。
