Charge-Transport Properties of Organic Semiconductors
Theoretical studies of semiconductors with known charge-transport properties are insightful. Based on principles learned from theoretical studies, rational design of organic semiconductors with good charge mobility can be facilitated.
---Effect of perfluorination on the charge-transport properties---
Perfluorination increases the the stability of radical anions and lowers the injection barrier of electrons, therefore, converts a p-type core to a n-type one. Nevertheless, fluorine p orbital participates in π -conjugation, so reorganization energy increases by perfluorination.
